Family Resources

a Minnesota licensed non-profit adoption agency

Family Resources is a Minnesota licensed non-profit adoption agency serving families throughout Minnesota and all 50 states.  The agency in located in the outer tier of suburbs in the major metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul. We are a full service adoption agency and can be reached by phone, fax, or e-mail.

OUR MISSION
The mission of the agency is to place waiting children, with well-prepared families who are ready and able to love, nurture and care for them.  Additionally the agency has a strong commitment to working with families and their adopted children in the post placement phase of the adoption to secure a strong bond and healthy adjustment in the creation of their new family.

OUR DIRECTOR
The agency's Director, Deborah Otto, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in serving children and their families.  Ms. Otto's career has had a heavy emphasis on clinically working with children who do not reside in the home of their birthparents.  She has a special sensitivity to the issues specific to children in those circumstances, including both their behavior and needs around relationship building.  Ms. Otto has strong skills as a child and adolescent therapist and program administration.

Ms. Otto is an adoptive parent creating her own family through International adoption.  Her children are some of the earliest children adopted out of Russia.  She uses both her understanding of adoption issues for adoptive parents and her knowledge of the often complicated processes in adoption to assist families and help guide them through their adoption experience.
