Family Resources

a Minnesota licensed non-profit adoption agency

Attachment is more than recognition and conformity to family rules. Adopted Children follow a process of attaching to their new adopted parents and their parents with them.  The child’s history, temperament, developmental age, ability to self regulate and the family dynamics all play part of the attachment process.

Do you wonder how you and your child are doing with the attachment process?
Do you ask am I doing enough to foster attachment?
How can I speed up attachment?
Why do we sometimes feel miserable?

Family Resources offers attachment assessment sessions with recommendations for enhancing attachment between you and your child.

The assessment requires two sessions.  An interview/observation session, and a feedback/recommendation session.  At least the child and his/her primary caregiver must be present for the first session.

The two sessions are done for a total rate of $200.00 per child.  Currently we do not take insurance, but you may inquiry about coverage from your insurance provider.

Assessments are done by an LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker).  Please schedule the assessment with Family Resources.
